Maurice Galway is the CEO/Artistic Director and founder of the Dingle International Film Festival has been working in the festival sector now for 23 years. The festival grew out of a love of film and also over 10 years experience in the film festival and film sector. Maurice founded the Kerry film festival in 1999 and has also made a number of short experimental films, which have exhibited in Ireland, London, New York and Cannes. As AD of the Dingle International Film Festival he curates each festival programme along with attracting in major industry guests, which have included, Laura Dern, Gabriel Bryne, Sarah Miles, Sir Alan Parker, Jim Sheridan, Saoirse Ronan, Barbara Kopple, Garrett Brown, Ned Dowd, Anthony Wall and Geoff Wonfor. As CEO of the business Maurice is responsible in financing the company, building relationships with sponsors and public funding bodies. Maurice is also responsible for marketing the festival and running its day-to-day business.
As a film-maker his work has been exhibited in Ireland, England and New York. His visual art work has been in numerous publications both in the English and Irish languages. He has also curated exhibitions including, In Pursuit1, 2, 3 & 4 and Gimme Shelter.
