Congratulations to Tomm Moore from Cartoon Saloon for ‘The Secret of Kells’; Nicky Phelan and Darragh O Connell from Brownbag Films for ‘Granny O Grimm’s Sleeping Beauty’; Juanita Wilson and James Flynn for ‘The Door’, Peter J. Devlin for sound mixing on ‘Star Trek’ and Oscar winner Richard Baneham for his Visual Effects work in 'Avatar'.
Top Irish actor Colin Farrell presented an Oscar during the awards telecast.

The 7th Annual Irish Film & Television Awards took place at Dublin's Burlington Hotel on Saturday 20th February 2010.
One of the most prestigious nights in the Irish entertainment and cultural calendar, IFTA 2010 welcomed the cream of Ireland’s creative talent from the world of film and television and among the Irish creative talent walking the red carpet included nominees Brendan Gleeson, Colin Farrell, Saoirse Ronan, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Aidan Quinn, Ciarán Hinds, Michael Fassbender, Elaine Cassidy, Amy Huberman, Charlene McKenna, Sarah Bolger, Darren Healy, Nora Jane Noone, Jade Yourell, Janice Byrne, Amy Kirwan, Simon Delaney, Dervla Kirwan, Ger Ryan, Ruth Bradley, Robert Sheehan, Diarmuid Noyes, Dawn Bradfield and Tatianna Ouliankina.

IFTA ACADEMY PREVIEW SCREENING OF BROTHERS WITH JIM SHERIDAN Q&A

The Irish Film & Television Academy hosted an excluisve preview screening of Jim Sheridan's latest feature film Brothers which stars Tobey Maguire, Jake Gyllenhaal and Natalie Portman.
The screening was the first public showing of Brothers in Ireland and was attended by IFTA Members and special guests of Mr. Sheridan and the Academy.
The Oscar nominated director particiapted in a post screening Q&A with IFTA Members which was led by Today FM critic John Maguire.
