NBC Universal Picks Up Tile Films' ‘Who Lived In My House?’; Series Two In post

US media giant NBC Universal has signed a deal with Tile Film’s for thier home grown format ‘Who Lived In My House?’, bringing the Irish concept to the international market.

29 Sep 2011 | Over twenty Irish companies are register to attend the Mipcom market in Cannes with Enterprise Ireland’s ‘Ireland on Screen’ stand. Irish companies with delegates attending Mipcom include Jam Media (Roy), Big Mountain Productions (The Tenements), Animo Television (The Secret Millionare), Cartoon Saloon (The Secret of Kells) and Screentime ShinAwiL (Masterchef Ireland, The Apprentice).

Festival Diary: Terry McMahon Brings 'Charlie Casanova' to the Galway Film Fleadh
19 Jul 2011 | Irish writer/director/producer Terry McMahon returned from the Galway Film Fleadh victorious, after his debut feature ‘Charlie Casanova’ won Best First Feature, a prize that was shared with Darragh Byrne’s ‘Parked’. In his IFTN Insiders Diary McMahon documents his ‘Charlie Casanova’ experience at the Fleadh, from remembering the polarised responses to the film (with one reviewer calling it “intolerable”) to the ultimate reward as ‘Charlie Casanova’ came away with festival honours.

Irish Film Industry Descends on Cannes
11 May 2011 | More than 70 Irish companies have registered their attendance with the Irish Film Board’s Irish Pavilion stand for the 2011 Cannes festival which launched today, Wednesday, May 11th. The Irish filmmakers attending include representatives of the 18 Irish projects screening and selling at the event amongst others. Furthermore, the MEDIA stand will again this year be located in the Village Internationale and will run events such as a free European Audiovisual Observatory Workshop. 
Irish Companies Gear Up for MIPTV / MIP Doc 2011
31 Mar 2011 | Cannes’ documentary and factual programme market, MIP Doc runs this year from the 2nd to the 3rd of April whilst its entertainment content counterpart, MIPTV takes place from the 4th to the 7th April. In the days before the two events, IFTN spoke with Enterprise Ireland and the Irish Film board as well as Irish production companies and distributors who are travelling over to the event. 
Sundance Deals for ‘The Guard’ & ‘Knuckle’
26 Jan 2011 | It has proved a very successful year for Irish film at the Sundance Film Festival with Sony Pictures Classics closing a major US and Latin American rights deal to Element Pictures’ ‘The Guard’ and Revolver Entertainment snapping the Irish and UK rights to Ian Palmer’s feature doc, ‘Knuckle’, the international rights of which sold to ContentFilm International. 
MIPTV Hosting ‘Camelot’ Int Premiere Screening
21 Jan 2011 | MIPTV’s World Premiere TV Screenings event will host the international premiere screening of Irish-Canadian major co-production ‘Camelot’ which will take place on the opening evening of MIPTV 2011 on Monday April, 4th in Cannes. The show’s stars Eva Green and Joseph Fiennes will be in attendance at the screening.

Gabriel Byrne Launches 'Imagine Ireland'
10 Jan 2011 | Ireland's traditional and contemporary arts will be celebrated across the United States this year with more than 400 events in 40 states. The move comes with the launch of Imagine Ireland, an unprecedented celebration of Irish arts that will see more than 1,000 artists and producers stage works in 200 cities including New York, Washington DC, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta and Philadelphia.

‘The Runway’ Looks to Land US Distribution Deal
28 Oct 2010 | Director Ian Power (Dental Breakdown) recently travelled to Los Angeles to meet with distributors, studios and agents as part of the Directors Finders Series programme organised by the Screen Directors Guild of Ireland (SDGI). The programme gives Irish feature directors an opportunity to screen their film to key distributors & film industry representatives in an effort to gain a US distribution deal. 
Cinema Release for ‘Pyjama Girls’
10 Sep 2010 | Irish documentary ‘Pyjama Girls’ will enjoy a limited Irish cinema release from September 17th onwards as part of an innovative DIY distribution campaign. Sidestepping traditional distribution methods Still Films contacted cinemas across the country, many of whom picked up this surprise documentary hit. 
CANNES: Irish Film Industry Out in Force at Film Festival
19 May 2010 | The Irish film industry has been out in strong numbers at the Cannes Film Festival so far. The event launched on Wednesday, May 12th and will run until Sunday, May 23rd and has seen Irish projects screening and selling and Irish filmmakers make the most of networking events. 
Ireland Prepares for Cannes 2010

Alicia Duffy’s ‘All Good Children’ will premiere as part of this year’s Director’s Fortnight event, ‘One Hundred Mornings’ producer Katie Holly participates in the ‘Producer on the Move’ programme, in addition to Irish screenings and marketing of dozens of new Irish projects.
