This course is designed to emphasize the skills and attention to detail required for make-up application for film, high-definition television, print photography, advertising, and theatrical makeup.
This courses takes students through modules of High Definition TV & Film makeup, from male grooming, glamour high definition makeup, period makeup, period hair styling from 1920’s – 1960’s, special effects; skin defects, casualty and death effects, latex & plastic bald cap making, facial hair, theatrical makeup, airbrushing, body painting to facial sculpting.
Students will work with a variety of different product such as gelatine, latex, wax, silicone, in moulding, painting and sculpting their desired look.
This course not only focuses on the technique of high definition makeup for tv & film but also from the start brings students through phases of project conceptualisation, make-up design, set etiquette, film terminology, script breakdown, working to a budget and working with a director and other departments on set.
The impressive calibre of tutors who teach this course are all working professionals across the entertainment world with experience in creating award-winning special effects on blockbuster movies, short films, TV adverts and celebrity clientele.
This course is ran over 20 weeks full time and can be completed as 1 course or over 18 singular modules.
