Ideal for actors, writers or people new to film making, this course offers a little bit of everything and then some. Follow the process of film making from concept to edit to screen in a fun, relaxed and practical way. Learn the importance of signs and symbols to tell a story in film and then use your newly acquired skills to apply them in the real world. Participants will discover how directing, acting, sound, music and edit all come together to tell their very own unique story.
Multi-award winning director Noel Brady made his first short film in 2005 named ‘Movers & Shakers’. This was followed in 2007 with his second short film ‘Duality’. In 2009 he won his first award at the ‘Bram Stoker Horror Film Festival’ with ‘Herr Frankenstein’. In 2010 his next film, “An Táin, Darkness Descends”, won two awards, ‘Best Celtic Short’ at the ‘Balinamore International Film Festival 2010’ and ‘Best Editor’ at the ‘Underground Cinema Awards 2011’. His next film ‘True-D’, has thus far won two awards for ‘Best Irish Short’ at the ‘Dublin International Short Film and Music Festival 2012’ and ‘Best Director’ at ‘LIT Limerick International Film Festival 2013’. Noel is currently writing his first feature film due to start production in early 2014.

• What is involved in producing a film from concept to the first days production
• How to tell your story and shoot your scene
