Craic Fest is an annual Irish film festival held in New York City every March. The festival showcases new Irish Cinema, including animation, shorts, docs and features. One Night in Millstreet will open the 26th Craic Fest. The festival takes place from March 6th - 9th, 2024.
One Night in Millstreet is a sports documentary that recalls how Steve “The Celtic Warrior” Collins beat Chris “Simply The Best” Eubank following weeks of lively engagements and press conferences between the two boxers in 1995. The film was directed by two-time IFTA winner Andrew Gallimore.
Collins and Gallimore will be in attendance at the screening, and will take part in a Q&A afterwards. Other Irish films playing at Craic Fest 2024 include Ó Bhéal, an in-depth look into the four Irish-language musicians’ creative processes, their studio work, and their live performances, and The Graceless Age - The Ballad of John Murry, which follows the story of American singer-songwriter John Murry and is directed by Sarah Share (If I Should Fall from Grace: The Shane MacGowan Story), who will also be in attendance for the screening and Q&A.
