Shaun the Sheep Producer Paul Kewley and Co-Director Richard Phelan from Academy Award® winning studio Aardman Animations, are set to attend this year’s Dublin Animation Film Festival, which takes place in Dun Laoghaire from the 18th to the 19th of October.
These highly anticipated guests will showcase Aardman’s new feature-length movie A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon to an audience of over 300 animation enthusiasts.
The festival, which is in its 9th year, has a reputation for attracting world-class movie talent to Ireland. Last year, Fabian Erlinghäuser, Head of Animation for Cartoon Saloon showcased a screening of The Breadwinner. As part of the Dublin Animation Festival 2019, the Shaun the Sheep stars will take centre stage for a unique and insightful Q&A session, where audience members will have a chance to learn the secrets of the trade from the best in the business.
Speaking about the Sean The Sheep creator’s involvement in this year’s event, Director of the Dublin Animation Film Festival, Fionnghuala Ní Néill said:
“We’re all extremely excited to have two highly regarded names in animation attend the 9th anniversary of the Dublin Animation Film Festival. Alongside the screening one of this year’s biggest movie titles ‘A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon’, an immersive experience like a Q & A gives our festival attendees the chance to interact with some of the biggest names in the business. We would encourage people to visit the Pavilion website and secure their tickets as this is sure to be a sell-out.”
The Dublin Animation Film Festival, which was created to inspire and celebrate exceptional standards of animation talent in Ireland and abroad, will also feature fascinating talks, workshops, awards and screenings over the two days.
