Dan Levy’s Good Grief starring Ruth Negga, Levy, and Himesh Patel will be available to watch on Netflix from tomorrow, Friday January 5th.
Ruth Negga will star in the upcoming Dan Levy-directed Netflix film Good Grief, alongside Levy and Himesh Patel.
“The film is about three friends in their mid-30s who have come to a point in their life where they're deciding how to move forward, what they need to leave behind, and what avenues they wish to take in their lives now that they are considered adults,” said Negga. “There are many layers to this story. It's actually a quite serious interrogation of friendship and loyalty and what we tolerate within our friendships and how our friendships can inform our other relationships.”
Good Grief follows Marc (Levy), content living in the shadow of his husband, Oliver. But when Oliver unexpectedly dies, Marc’s world shatters, sending him and his two best friends, Sophie (Ruth Negga) and Thomas (Himesh Patel), on a soul-searching trip to Paris that reveals some hard truths they each needed to face.
Luke Evans (Dracula Untold) plays Oliver. Other cast members include David Bradley (Catherine Called Birdy) and Emma Corrin (The Crown).
As well as starring, directing and writing the screenplay, Levy serves as a producer with Kate Fenske, Debra Hayward, and Megan Zehmer.
Good Grief is available to watch on Netflix from Friday January 5th 2024.
