Irish model Susan Loughnane will star opposite Aidan Gillen in the second series of RTÉ’s IFTA nominated gangland drama ‘Love/Hate’.
Susan Loughnane previous acting credits include appearances on TV3 television drama ‘The Guards’ and the role of Jane Reynolds in TG4’s ‘Maru’. She was a contestant on 2010 reality TV series ‘Britain’s Next Top Model’.
Loughnane will play the role of ‘Debbie’, starring opposite Aidan Gillen (The Wire), Robert Sheehan (Misfits), Ruth Bradley (The Clinic) and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (Becoming Jane) and will reportedly be a love interest for John Boy Power (Aidan Gillen). Shooting for the second series took place earlier this year in March and April, and was posted at Dublin’s Windmill Lane.
The first series ran for four episodes and was nominated for 10 IFTA’s including Best Drama and Best Director for David Caffrey (Raw, Divorcing Jack). Stuart Carolan (Raw) won the award for Best Television Writer at the 2011 awards. The series is commissioned by RTÉ Drama with Octagon Films producing. The second series of the show will transmit in Autumn 2011 with an extended run of six one hour episodes.
