The TV Programming scheme aims to help European independent production companies produce television programmes with the potential to circulate within the European Union and beyond.

This workshop will offer an introduction to Rhino 3D software (Rhino 5 for PC). The course will cover the following: • The Rhino system: navigation, menus, modelling set-up and mode functions • Precision modelling • Curves, display and editing • Intermediate edit and surfacing commands • Advanced surfacing and solids • Customise Rhino toolbars and workspaces (time allowing) Courseware 3DM files will be provided and Level 1 manual is PDF format.

Michael G. Uva is a well-respected key grip in Hollywood, with over 32 years of experience in film, TV, movies, and commercials. Credits include films such as ‘Easy A’, ‘Kalifornia’, and ‘Iron Eagle’, and shows such as ‘The League’, ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’, and ‘Bones’. ‘The Grip Book’ has been described as the go-to reference book for anyone in the film and TV business, particularly anyone who wants to become a grip. Michael began working on the book in 1987 while he was working on the movie ‘The Big Easy’. He started writing notes to help other crew members understand movie set terminology and now over 25 years later the book is in its’ fifth edition.

This seminar in association with The Writers Guild of Ireland will consist of a panel of three writers who have extensive experience writing for more than one sector in the Irish industry. Between them they have written many successful stage plays, television drama series, radio plays, feature films and web series. The panel will address the overall question as to whether Irish scriptwriters can make a living writing scripts for the Irish industry. Within this topic, they will give advice on how best to work across multiple sectors; whether multi-sector writing beats specialisation in one sector; whether different sectors demand different skill sets and how to actually pay the bills while you’re doing all of this!

This scheme supports a number of film festivals throughout Europe that promote European cinema. One of its priorities is to support audience development as a means of stimulating interest in and improving access to European audiovisual works. Applications for festival support must include Audience Development initiatives, in particular initiatives aimed at young audiences.
