• Intermediate edit and surfacing commands
• Advanced surfacing and solids
• Customise Rhino toolbars and workspaces (time allowing)

‘The Grip Book’ has been described as the go-to reference book for anyone in the film and TV business, particularly anyone who wants to become a grip.
Michael began working on the book in 1987 while he was working on the movie ‘The Big Easy’. He started writing notes to help other crew members understand movie set terminology and now over 25 years later the book is in its’ fifth edition.

This seminar in association with The Writers Guild of Ireland will consist of a panel of three writers who have extensive experience writing for more than one sector in the Irish industry. Between them they have written many successful stage plays, television drama series, radio plays, feature films and web series.
The panel will address the overall question as to whether Irish scriptwriters can make a living writing scripts for the Irish industry. Within this topic, they will give advice on how best to work across multiple sectors; whether multi-sector writing beats specialisation in one sector; whether different sectors demand different skill sets and how to actually pay the bills while you’re doing all of this!

One of its priorities is to support audience development as a means of stimulating interest in and improving access to European audiovisual works. Applications for festival support must include Audience Development initiatives, in particular initiatives aimed at young audiences.
