On behalf of the organising committee we would like to thank you for your interest in The Richard Harris International Film Festival located in Limerick, Ireland. We strongly believe that the Irish film-making Diaspora should be encouraged to showcase their work here in Ireland.

By bringing communities together through a community tourism initiative for the diaspora this event is supported in partnership with Limerick City and County Councils, Fáilte Ireland and IPB Insurance.

April 04, 2017 to April 09, 2017 Aspen Shortsfest is an Oscar®-qualifying film festival recognized as one of the premier short film festivals in North America. Each April enthusiastic audiences, filmmakers and special guests from around the globe gather to participate in public screenings, panels, workshops, and other festivities that spotlight the art and craft of short moviemaking. Following in the tradition of Shortsfest official selections going on to Oscar® success, Bear Story (Chile) won the Oscar® for Best Animated Short Film in 2016, and We Can’t Live Without Cosmos (Russian Federation) and Shok (Republic of Kosovo/UK) were nominated.

The 41st Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF) will be held March 29 - April 9, 2017 in Cleveland, Ohio. Founded in 1977, the Cleveland Film Society has presented the Cleveland International Film Festival every spring for four decades. In March 2016, Ohio's premier film event featured over 400 films originating from over 70 countries and an attendance of over 102,000 - making the CIFF one of the largest and longest running regional film festivals in the US.

BIFF is proud to announce that The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences® has named BIFF a qualifying festival in the category of Live Action Short Film. Winners of the BIFF Best Live Action Short Film award may qualify to enter the Short Films category of the Academy Awards® for the concurrent season provided the films otherwise comply with the Academy rules.
