Great films, special experiences and some fun along the journey – exactly what festivals do best! We champion independent productions from Cork, from Ireland and from across the world. Great films continue to be made, films that often don’t get to cinemas or to TV. We believe that festivals are ideal places for such productions, that the network of festivals is an important alternative distribution and exhibition circuit. We know that Cork audiences welcome independent films and we are committed to screening them.

OFFline Film Festival welcomes a mix of international and Irish visitors to the autumnal beauty of the Irish midlands to view, discuss and share their love for all things film through an exciting programme of events. Premade shorts compete for screening slots and filmmakers who are selected are welcomed as guests of the Festival. Feature films are curated by the festival team and screenings are accompanied by visiting Filmmakers for Q&A sessions. Workshops on all aspects of the craft take place over the course of the Festival weekend. OFFline also has strong youth elements for both primary and secondary school students as well as screenings for Special Needs Students. Last - but definitely not least - is the 57 Hour Film-making Challenge which sees teams from all over Ireland and abroad churn out mini-masterpieces over the course of a few days. It's all good fun and brings this great festival to a frenetic, energetic climax on the closing Sunday!
