Founded in 2009 by the Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL), the ICCL Human Rights Film Awards is open to amateur and professional filmmakers internationally who wish to engage with a human rights issue through the submission of a short film, with a duration of 12 minutes or less.

Frameworks Short Film Scheme - DEADLINE

The deadline for the Irish Film Board short animation scheme Frameworks, now in its 20th edition, has been announced. Applications will be accepted until 1pm Wednesday, 15th April 2015.
Frameworks is an established scheme for the making of animated short films which has been incredibly successful in stimulating ground-breaking new work from Irish animators. Projects selected for funding will combine creative exploration with an ability to appeal to a broad audience.

This programme is targeted at developing skills and talent in the European audiovisual sector with Screen Training Ireland stating that the aim is to inspire the creative film community to push the boundaries of VFX at all budget levels, and develop new and innovative stories for audiences globally.
