The match will air live from the Malahide Cricket Club on Thursday August 18th and Saturday August 20th at 10:45 on both days.
Both Sri Lanka and Pakistan announced last year that they would travel to Ireland to play The KPC group ODI series against Ireland, news which was very much welcomed by Ireland captain William Porterfield.
Porterfield has stated:
"This is fantastic news and exactly the type of fixtures we've been crying out for. We want to be playing regularly against top sides and these fixtures are a very welcome first step. The players relish these opportunities to take on the top sides but we will only continue to improve if they become a regular feature."
According to Cricket Ireland on their last visit to Ireland in May 2013, a Paul Stirling century and an unbeaten 84 from Kevin O’Brien saw Ireland claim a dramatic tie in the first game. Ireland looked on course to win the second game after Ed Joyce scored 116 not out as they posted 229, but Pakistan recovered from 133 for 7 to win by two wickets.
