Ireland is well represented at this year’s festival with the screening of ‘Aidan Walsh – Master of the Universe’, directed by Shimmy Marcus, an absorbing documentary on the bizarre life of 80’s Irish musician and rock entrepreneur Walsh. Irish director Martin Duffy’s (‘The Boy From Mercury’) new film ‘The Testimony of Taliesin Jones’ will also be screening. Both Shimmy Marcus and Martin Duffy will be present for a Q&A seccion after their screenings.
Two workshops, dealing with Direction and Writing, will welcome Gerard Stembridge (‘About Adam’, Guiltrip’) and American playwright and musician Roger Gregg.
The competition this year is for budding young film critics. Prizes for the best criticism of any recently viewed film will be awarded before the screening of the closing film ‘The Real Macaw’.
