Marmalade Films has released the official trailer for Eat / Sleep / Cheer / Repeat, their Irish cheerleading documentary which had its world premiere at the Dublin International Film Festival last month.
From award-winning director Tanya Doyle (The House) with music by Stephen Rennicks & Hugh Drumm (Room, An Cailín Ciúin), Eat / Sleep / Cheer / Repeat is a documentary exploring the worlds of the young misfits finding a place where they belong.
Eat / Sleep / Cheer / Repeat follows a group of underdog athletes on their journey to the World Cheerleading Championships in America. The coming-of-age film follows the young female and male athletes of Team Ireland to intimately explore questions of gender, strength, performance, sexuality and what it’s like growing up in the world today.
The film was produced by Daniel Hegarty (Waterlilies), and the trailer is available to watch here.
Eat / Sleep / Cheer / Repeat will be released in Irish cinemas on May 17th 2024.
