The National Digital Skills Centre at The Kerry Training Centre are to run a Lighting & Cinematography Masterclass between 14-18 March.
The Masterclass will be led by Steve Fierberg ASC and Mo Flam. Fierberg is best known for his work on ‘Entourage’ (both the television series and the 2015 film) and on the Emmy and Golden Globe winning television drama ‘The Affair’. He won an ASC Award in 2002 for his work on the mini-series ‘Attila’ starring Gerard Butler in the title role. Gaffer Mo Flam’s credits include ‘Black Mass’, ‘Black Swan’, ‘The English Patient’ and ‘Spotlight’, with the latter film winning the Academy Award for Best Picture in LA on Sunday night.
Camera position and movement, lens selection, and scene coverage are critical to all forms of narrative storytelling and this one-week workshop is for cinematographers and emerging filmmakers who want to focus on the use of camera in cinematic storytelling.
The class will take place from 14th-18th March. The cost is €390 and places are limited.
