Kin’s Emmet J Scanlan will star in an upcoming Netflix thriller series from Irish writer/actor Tom Farrelly. Fool Me Once releases on New Year's Day.
Emmet J Scanlan (Kin) stars in upcoming Netflix original series Fool Me Once, which will release on the streaming platform on January 1st. Tom Farrelly (Smother) has adapted the 2016 novel of the same name for the screen.
Fool Me Once follows Maya Stern who is trying to come to terms with the murder of her husband, Joe. But when Maya installs a nanny-cam to keep an eye on her young daughter, she is shocked to see a man she recognises in her house: Her husband, who she thought was dead. Detective Sergeant Sami Kierce leads the homicide investigation into Joe's death while grappling with his own secrets.
Michelle Keegan (Coronation Street) plays Maya, and Richard Armitage (The Hobbit trilogy) plays her husband. Other cast members include Irish actor Emmett J. Scanlan as Shane Tessier, Adeel Akhtar (Four Lions) as Detective Sergeant Sami Kierce, Joanna Lumley (Absolutely Fabulous), and Dino Fetscher (Foundation).
Fool Me Once is based upon a novel from Harlan Coben. Coben is also executive producing with Danny Brocklehurst, Nicola Shindler, and Richard Fee.
The series releases on Netflix on January 1st.
