Netflix’s 3 Body Problem has jumped to the number one spot in Netflix’s TV Charts. The series has amassed 15.6 million views in its first week.
3 Body Problem has surpassed other recent popular Netflix Original series, such as Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen and a live action remake of Avatar: The Last Airbender, reaching the number one spot in Netflix’s TV Charts.
The new Netflix Original series starring Liam Cunningham comes from Emmy Award-winning creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss (Game of Thrones), and Emmy-nominated Alexander Woo (The Terror: Infamy, True Blood). The series is based on the international bestselling book trilogy, The Three-Body Problem.
The synopsis of 3 Body Problem is described as follows: “A young woman’s fateful decision in 1960s China reverberates across space and time to a group of brilliant scientists in the present day. As the laws of nature unravel before their eyes, five former colleagues reunite to confront the greatest threat in humanity’s history.”
Cunningham is joined by an ensemble cast including Benedict Wong, Jess Hong, Jovan Adepo, Eiza González, Alex Sharp, John Bradley, Zine Tseng, Saamer Usmani, Rosalind Chao, Marlo Kelly, Sea Shimooka, and Jonathan Pryce.
