15 Sep 2014 | Culture Night 2014 will see a vast and exciting range of events take place in Dublin and across 34 counties, regions and cities in Ireland this Friday, 19th September 2014. For one night only the city’s museums, galleries, churches, historic houses, artists’ studios, cultural centre and more, will open their doors from 5pm-11pm for a free night of entertainment, discovery and adventure.

Actress Sorcha Furlong launches The Gaiety School of Acting’s Autumn Programme for 2014
15 Sep 2014 | ‘Fair City’ actress Sorcha Furlong was recently on hand with actors Marnie McCleane, Stephen O’Leary and Dave Rowe as well as GSA Director Patrick Sutton to help launch the forthcoming Autumn/Spring 2014/15 programme at The Gaiety School of Acting – The National Theatre School at their HQ on Essex Street West, Temple Bar. Sorcha, who plays Orla Kirwan in the popular RTE series ‘Fair City’, previously completed an evening course at the school when she was younger.

TG4 drama ‘Corp + Anam’ nominated for Prix Europa award
12 Sep 2014 | The second series of TG4’s award-winning drama ‘Corp + Anam’, starring Diarmuid de Faoite and Maria Doyle-Kennedy, has been nominated for an award at the prestigious Prix Europa Awards which will be held in Berlin in October. The four part series is written and directed by Darach Mac Con Iomaire and is produced by Galway-based Magamedia with funding from TG4 and the BAI. Every year Europe’s best television, radio and online productions are honoured at the Prix Europa in Berlin.

Irish Films Selected for Upcoming Film Festivals in Korea, London, Dinard, Luxenbourg & USA
12 Sep 2014 | A number of Irish films have been chosen to screen at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) and the BFI London Film Festival in October. ‘The Canal’, ‘Queen and Country’ and ‘Jimmy’s Hall’ will be shown at the BIFF in South Korea while ‘Queen and Country’ and ‘Song of the Sea’ will screen in London.
