The workshop, which is in association with Film In Cork, will take place over the weekend of November 5th- 6th. Hosted by Director and Screenwriter David Keating.
The final deadline for applications to this workshop will close at 1pm on Wednesday, October 26th 2016.
The workshop aims to energise and empower writers to create ambitious and engaging projects that connect with audiences.
The workshop uses creative writing techniques in order to energise participants while demonstrating ways that innovative work can be supported by genre, format and the conventions of the screenplay form.
While the theory behind the principles of theme, subtext and tension are introduced using examples, the nature and process of the workshop is that of an unfolding conversation.
Participant Profile:
This workshop is suitable for new writers preparing to embark on their first draft of a short or longform screenplay, and more experienced screenwriters ready to expand their technical abilities and creative processes.
