‘Game of Thrones’ to Premiere at Belfast Film Festival
11 Mar 2014 : Aisling Newton
Belfast Film Festival has joined forces with HBO and Sky Atlantic to present exclusive previews of ‘Two Swords’, the first episode of ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 4.

The fantasy sage will be screened for more than 500 fans in Belfast’s Movie House eleven days before its UK and Irish release.

Anticipation for the fourth season is quickly heating up as fans of the popular novels continue to ponder what exactly will be included in the season which is based mostly on the second half of George R.R. Martin’s ‘A Storm of Swords’. HBO recently delivered new ‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 trailers, which set the scene for the upcoming ‘Storm of Swords’.

The first four episode titles were revealed last week, they include: Episode 1 ‘Two Swords’, episode 2 ‘The Lion and the Rose’, episode 3 ‘Breaker of Chains’ and episode 4 ‘Oathkeeper’. As in previous seasons, ‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 will include 10 episodes.

Belfast Film Festival Director, Michele Devlin, said: "We are thrilled to be presenting this very special ‘Game of Thrones’ premiere screening and are intensely proud of all the local crew and cast who contribute to the making of this highly successful series."

Free tickets for the event will be allocated on a lottery basis with the winners announced on Thursday 20 March.

To apply for tickets click here or telephone the Festival Box Office on 028 9024 6609.

The Northern Ireland production is set to return to screens across the UK on Monday 7 April. A preview for ‘Game of Thrones’ season four can be viewed below:
