Irish thriller ‘Fractional’ has finished principle photography and is gone into post production at Totality Films.
‘Fractional’, directed and written by Malcolm Deegan (Hell’s Drifter, Beyond and Back) tells the story of psychiatrist, John Hatchett, who wakes up tied to a chair in an abandoned warehouse. Over a series of five days John is subjected to severe mental and physical torture. In order to escape Hatchett must use his only weapon, his mind, in order to escape.
The film, which was shot in various locations around Dublin, was filmed using the agaf101 full HD cam with 35mm film lenses. The budget is approx €15,000 and it is self funded with a deferred payment scheme. Cast for the film included many first time screen actors including Desmond Daly, playing the lead role of John Hatchett, Peter O’Toole, Donna Bradley, Paula Gahan and Paul Byrne.
Producer Paul Bergin (Hell’s Drifter, The Making of Hell’s Drifter) co produced the film with Deegan. A first rough draft of movie is being editing by Deegan at Totality Films and will be finished on the first week of December, with a final draft expected in early January in time for a festival run in 2012.
