Red Pepper Productions 10x30 minute series ‘Ň Tholg go Tolg’ is now in production as the two Irish speaking girls, Bláthnaid Treacy and her camerawoman Laura O’Connell jet off around Europe to begin their couch surfing adventure.
In the upcoming series, the girls are set to stay with 20 hosts in 20 destinations including Stuttgart, Vienna, Budapest, Timisoara, Belgrade, Pristine, Sarajevo, Venice and Paris. During the three month trip, the girls will hop from couch to couch, getting personalised tours around some of Europe’s best-known cities, guided by their local ‘host’. Hosts on the show include a magician, a street performer, a dumpster diver and a human hair sculptor.
Director on the second series of ‘Ň Tholg go Tolg’ (From couch to couch) is Adrian C. McCarthy (Farmers: A Year on the Land), with Laura Cranley as Series Director.
‘Ň Tholg go Tolg’ is produced by Martin Danneels (How the Irish have Sex, Back to School) and was funded by TG4. All camerawork on the show will be done by couch surfer Laura O’Connell, the editor of the show is TBC. It will hit TG4 screens in spring 2012.
