UK based Fat Chief Media finish production on feature film ‘The Devil’s Interval’ which shot in the West of Ireland in April 2010.
The low budget feature shot on locations such as Strokestown Park House, NewtonForbes, Kilglass and churches in Whitehall and Scramaogue.
The feature is written by Anthony Turner, Patrick Turner and Louis Turner with Anthony and Patrick directing and producing alongside Dolores Turner. Director of Photography on the feature was Colm ‘Mac’ McKenzie. It stars Eoin Quinn (Limp, Fair City), Gerry Wade (Hill 16), Eileen Fennel and Don Johnston.
Set in the 1950s, ‘The Devil’s Interval’ centres around the story of an elderly lady looking back on her childhood days in a village that was attacked by strange and dangerous creatures, after the priest unleashed unholy creatures by playing the Devil’s Interval. In the present day, a young boy stumbles across a piece of music and is compelled to play and once again, evil wreaks havoc on the village.
Editing was done by the Turner Brothers and an Original Score which was composed by Patrick Turner and Jim Harrison. It was shot on Canon 5D MKII at 1080p.
Fat Chief Media are now hoping to show ‘The Devil’s Interval’ in festivals and are hoping to secure a DVD release. The UK based outfit has have previously focused on music video production and has worked with a artists including Aggros Santos, DJ IQ and DJ Ironik. The low-budget flick was made for approx £10,000.
