ARC Entertainment and XLrator Media nab North American distribution of Ian Palmer’s feature documentary ‘Knuckle’.
It has been confirmed that Irish documentary ‘Knuckle’ has sold to ARC Entertainment and XLrator Media for North American distribution. ContentFilm had previously acquired international sales right to the film, with Revolver Entertainment to release the doc in the UK and Ireland.

The documentary follows two feuding families from the Traveller community, concentrating on the brutal and secretive bare-knuckle fighting culture within it. It was filmed over a 12 year period. The doc was directed, produced, shot and narrated by Ian Palmer and co-produced by Teddy Leifer (Road to Las Vegas) of UK based Rise Films, with support from the Irish Film Board and BBC Storyville.

BBC has the UK TV rights to the documentary with HBO having acquired remake rights after the ‘Knuckle’ world premiere at Sundance 2011. ‘Knuckle’ will be released in Ireland and the UK on August 5th.
