Irish 'X-Factor' and 'Eurovision' twins Jedward at to host a new show for CBBC. The new series ‘Jedward’s Tour of Britain’, will be made by Initial Kids, with Christopher Pilkington (Paradise Café) executive producing and Melissa Harding producing for CBBC. The Grimes twins will front the show as they visit some of Britain’s most important sites including Hadrian’s Wall and the Tower of London.
John and Edward will have to learn as many facts as they can about the historical sites and then will act as tour-guides to groups of visitors or face forfeits for not remembering the historical details.
The show was commissioned by CBBC controller Damian Kavanagh and the run and TX date are TBC. The series was announced along with a number of new CBBC commissions including ‘The Vic Reeves Project’ and documentary series ‘My Life’ at the Children’s Media Conference in Sheffield.

They all encourage CBBC viewers to look at the world around them and think about it in a new and interesting way – and that's extremely important to us.”
