The G-Technology Driven Creativity Competition is open to professional and non-professional filmmakers, photographers and musicians. Winners and runners-up will be awarded G-Technology hard drives and the overall winner will receive a €5,000 grant towards their next creative project.
Films submitted can be based on any topic, live action or animation, and can be short or feature films.
This is the second year the competition has taken place, with the 2010 competition attracting hundreds of entrants from all over Europe. Last year’s winners had their work presented at London’s Brick Lane Gallery. This year’s winners will have the opportunity to be part of a week-long exhibition in October in the Strand Gallery in London, janinebeangallery in Berlin and 0fr in Paris. . A shortlist of 15 professional and amateur finalists will be compiled before being judged by a panel of creative experts including Scott Hillier, Academy-award honoured filmmaker and President of The European Independent Film Festival
Entry to the competition is free at www.g-technology.eu/competition and is open until the 31st August 2011 .
Films should be submitted via a link to either YouTube.com, myspace.com, vimeo.com or video.google.com with a full-length DVD copy with name and address on the DVD to be posted to Harry Cott, The Liquid Way, 8 North Street, Guildford, Surrey GU1 4AF, UK. Entrants must be 18 years of age and older and you can only enter one submission in film, photography or music. Shortlisted entrants will be announced on Friday 2nd September with category winners announced on 23rd September ahead of the overall winner to be announced on October 11th.
