The finalists have been announced for the 30 Minute Short Film Festival which is to take place at the Galway Film Fleadh on Sunday July 10th at 2pm. The Competition consists of 30 one-minute short films which were submitted via You Tube to the competition. They will be screened back to back at the special event.
Prizes of the Audience Awards and Judges Award for the competition will be presented at the official awards ceremony on Sunday. With no restrictions on topic or subject, the shortlist is guaranteed to contain a variety of short films with titles including ‘Charlie Sheen Interviews Colonel Gadaffi’, ‘Defenders of the Earth’, ‘Though Small We Count Not For Less’, ‘Hallucination’ and ‘Got Your Nose’. This is the first year of the 30 minute film festival which was introduced by new Galway programmer Gar O’Brien.
