Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board (IFB) and a delegation of Irish producers traveled to LA last week for the third annual ‘Produced By’ conference.
The IFB and a selection of Irish producers attended the ‘Produced By’ conference in LA (3-5 June) to promote Ireland as film location. The IFB and producers, including representatives from Samson Films, Subotica and Treasure Entertainment and Fastnet Film, set up a booth under the ‘Ireland on Screen banner’ and highlighted the section 481 tax incentive to lure international productions to Irish shores.
The aim of the Irish presence was to meet with international producers and broadcasters and to promote Ireland as a location to the 2,200 attendees at the conference. This promotion aims to reinforce Ireland’s position as a top class filming location that has previously attracted productions such as ‘Camelot’ (for Starz), ‘Neverland’ (for Sky Movies), ‘Primeval’ (for ITV) and ‘Treasure Island’ (for Sky 1).
The ‘Produced By’ Conference aims to reach across film, television and new media industries and is held annually with an attendance of producers, filmmakers and creative entrepreneurs.
