Submissions are currently being accepted from those looking to take part in GAF TV, the online coverage facility used by the Galway Arts Festival. The last two years of the web TV channel, GAF TV scored approximately 65,000 views each. This year will see online coverage of the event which runs from the 11th to the 24th of July.
The programme, overseen by editor and director Justin McCarthy is currently inviting submissions from would-be volunteers to run the web TV channel, GAF TV for the Galway arts festival. GAFTV looks to be the Arts Festival’s ‘Virtual Stage’ with volunteers making films about the Galway Arts Festival through a mixture of direct reporting, documentary and some experimental.
Throughout the upcoming Festival which runs from the 11th to the 24th of July, each day’s content will be shot by volunteers, edited and uploaded (at midnight) onto the GAFTV website, www.gaftv.ie Anyone with an interest in becoming involved is asked to contact Justin at gaftv2011@gmail.com
