Galway-based Film and Television Production Company, Telegael, has announced that its TV series ‘The DaVincibles’ has received a Pulcinella nomination in the category of Best TV Series for Kids. The awards take place as part of the annual international Cartoons on the Bay festival.
‘The DaVincibles‘ follows the comedic exploits of sibling teens Pablo and Lisa DaVinci with their awkward-but-lovable Uncle Leo as they explore the world for rare artifacts and adventure. Along the way, they will cross paths with the world's most devious, yet questionably competent super villains, who often fall short of reaching world domination.
The series was co-produced by Telegael with Moonscoop in Los Angeles, Zodiak Active (Italy) and SLR Productions (Australia) in conjunction with RAI (Italy) and Channel 7 (Australia) who have recently commenced broadcasting of the series.
Speaking after the nominations were announced, Telegael’s Head of Production & Series Producer Siobhán Ní Ghadhra said “The award [nomination] highlights the continued success of the company’s slate of productions and is a testament to the creativity, hard work and dedication of the production team.”
The Pulcinella Awards will take place as part of the international Cartoons on the Bay TV animation festival between April 7th and 11th in Rapallo, Italy. The Cartoons on the Bay TV animation festival looks to honour outstanding animation series, specials and shorts that have been produced during the previous year.
