The March 25th deadline for the receipt of submissions to the Galway Film Fleadh is fast approaching. Those wishing to submit to the festival’s three categories of Best First Feature, Best Feature Documentary and Best Irish Feature must submit their projects before this date for a chance to be included in the event which runs from the 5th to the 10th of July.
Filmmakers who wish to enter their projects in to any of the three categories outlined above should note that only films completed after January 2009 are eligible. The sections of Best First Feature, Best Feature Documentary and Best Irish Feature will featiure invited projects and those successful in the submission process.
Fleadh organizers will give priority to World and International premieres and all the chosen feature films will be selected by the Programme Director in consultation with the programming associates. Those whose projects have premiered elsewhere in Ireland should further note that they will be invited to have their films screened out of competition.
The deadline for the festival's office to receive the required submission materials is March 25th 2011.
