Four Irish feature projects have received funding under the MEDIA i2i Audiovisual support scheme receiving a total amount of €162,909.
i2i is designed to facilitate access to financing from banks and financial institutions by co-financing some of the costs of the guarantees required by these institutions and/or part of the costs of bank financing.
The Irish projects selected amongst 39 European projects (following the Feb 2009 deadline) are ‘Occi Versus The World’ (Iarlaith Films/Zanzibar Films), ‘The Race’ (Grand Pictures/Go Kart Films), ‘Wide Open Spaces’ (Grand Pictures) and ‘The Wake Wood’ (Fantastic Films). In total €1,345,177 was awarded throughout Europe.
