Irish singer/songwriter Paul Brady, Dire Straits founding member John Illsley and musician Greg Pearle have filmed a music video for the song ‘One’, from the soundtrack for upcoming film ‘Anton’, directed by Graham Cantwell.
The video for the song, penned by Pearle, was recorded on location in Dublin on Sunday 9th December. The video features the musicians playing in a bar the lead character of ‘Anton’ frequents in the movie.
The full film score, composed by Anna Rice, will be recorded during January in Prague with the Prague Orchestra. Sound is being designed by Lime Street Sound, finishing in Ardmore on February 18th.
'One' will be released in the spring of 2008 , followed by a soundtrack album.
Meanwhile, 'Anton' is in the final stages of post-production, picture is being graded at Egg Post Production.
The film follows Anton O'Neill who returns home after five years at sea, to find that 1970's Ireland is a radically different place to the one he left behind - Northern Ireland is in flames, and civil unrest has spilled south of the border to his beloved home in County Cavan. He attempts to create a life for himself and his family but his experience with explosives attracts the attention of dangerous subversives.
’Anton’ is written by Anthony Fox, who also stars, and a host of established as well as up and coming Irish actors including Gerard McSorley (Middletown, Damage), Laura Way (The Clinic), Ronan Wilmot (The General, Bloom), Vincent Fegan (Short Order) and Cillian Roche.
