A new ad campaign directed by Irish director Brian Williams ‘Time to Kill’, ‘Harvest Lake’ focuses on the new era in entertainment, one which is no longer just about TV but the combination of great TV and superfast broadband.
The new Virgin Media campaign created by Rothco an international advertising agency based in Dublin is entitled, ‘Long Live TV’. The 60 and 40 second advertisement revisits the old world of TV and entertainment before flashing to the future of entertainment and the breadth of exciting home entertainment content available nowadays.
Directed by Williams who also worked on U2’s ground-breaking Zoo TV, the voiceover on the ad is done by Brian Cox and features clips from various films including ‘The Big Lebowski’, ‘Birdman’, ‘Die Hard’, ‘Braveheart’, ‘Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid’, ‘Mary Poppins’ and more.
The advertising campaign which you can watch below will run from January to April 2017 across TV, cinema, video-on-demand, display, radio, mobile, social, search, and out-of-home channels.
