of infomative workshops have been announced to coincide with the Cinemagic
Young Filmmaker festival being held in Belfast on the 29th - 30th of April.
These workshops are open to young
|
filmmakers between the ages of 16-25 and who are interested in finding out more about producing, directing, writing and TV publicity.
The Workshops will include seminars by:
Producer, Jemma Rodgers- She will share knowledge gained from her extensive career in production at the BBC before moving on to work as associate producer and then producer for three award winning series of The League of Gentlemen. In addition Jemma pursues her own projects via her production company Junction Films.
Director Brian Kirk - Originally from Armagh, will be taking time out from directing the opening episodes of the second series of Murphy’s Law (starring James Nesbitt) to provide an insight into the role of directing successful films and programmes.
Publicist Una Maguire – London based publicist Una, originally from Glengormley, will be on hand to share in some of her experiences gained over five years of promoting high profile programmes and films such as ‘Cantebury Tales’, ‘Hound of the Baskervilles’, ‘The Lost World’, ‘Passer By’ and ‘Ballykissangel’. She will also be accompanies by Actor Del Synnott who plays DS Carter in the popular drama series Murphy’s Law.
No previous experience is required, so if you are keen to find out more information on the workings of the film and television industry simply tell Cinemagic why you would like to participate in Young Filmmaker 2004 in association with Warner Village Cinemas.
