FÁS Screen Training Ireland and Loopline Film will be running a Creative Documentary Course on the 16th 17th and 18th May and the 31st of May the 1st and 2nd of June at the Ardenode Hotel in Kildare, with a host of world class talent lined up to tutor.
The aim of the course is to enable creative documentary directors to develop the conceptual, visual and practical skills necessary to make their own films through a detailed examination and exploration of genres and styles of documentary filmmaking.

Paul Watson, England ( Wedding In The Family)
Harvey O’Brien, Ireland (Film Historian).
Previous participants on the documentary course have gone on to produce acclaimed work; Barry Dowdall with’ Ned Kelly’, Brendan Culleton with ‘Strongbow’, Irina Maldea with ‘Tintown’, Pat Collins with ‘Tory Island’ (Best Documentary IFTA Awards), Adrian McCarthy ‘Living The Revolution’ (Best Documentary New York Film Fleadh) and Neasa Ní Chianáin with ‘Frank, Ned and Busy Lizzie’ which has just been announced as Best Documentary, Celtic Film Festival.
The course is designed by the Producer Martina Durac (Hidden Treasures) and Sé Merry Doyle (Patrick Scott - Golden Boy).
