The deadline for submissions at the 12th Waterford Film Festival is fast approaching with short films & scripts still being accepted until August 31st.
This year has seen a focus on expanding the international submissions for the festival. Projects from: the UK, USA , Canada, Japan, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Malta, Austria, Bosnia, Hong Kong, India, Iraq, Israel, Lithuania, Russia, Mexico, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, Costa Rica, Colombia, Kenya, Ecuador and Australia.
The festival will take place from Friday, November 30th to Sunday, December 2nd.
Since its inception in 2007, the Irish festival has screened over 400 films and has had filmmakers from Ireland, UK, France, Germany, Holland and as far as Canada and USA in attendance.
Previous festival winners include Oscar-nominated documentary ‘No End in Sight’ and has also screened the work of Irish directors such as Ross Whitaker’s ‘Saviour’ and Conor Horgan’s ‘100 Mornings’.
