‘Game of Thrones’ has been nominated for a 30th Annual Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Award in Outstanding Creative Achievement in the category of Television Sound Production. The TEC Awards were established in 1985 to honour outstanding achievement in professional audio production and product innovation.
Ronan Hill, who is the production sound mixer on the highly acclaimed series, received the TEC award at last year’s ceremony in January. Ronan and his team Tim Kimmel (supervising sound editor), Richard Dyer (production mixer), Mathew Waters, Onnalee Blank and CAS (re-recording mixers) were honoured at the professional audio industry’s most prestigious event.
Hill has previously won three IFTA awards for his work on ‘Hunger’ (2009), ‘Kings’ (2008) and ‘GOT’ (2014). He has also won an Emmy for ‘Game of Thrones’. His other credits include ‘Miss Julie’, ‘Starred Up’, ‘The Fall’ and ‘Hunger’.
Voting for the TEC awards will take place in December and the winners of the 30th Annual TEC Awards will be announced at a ceremony to be held January 24, 2015 at the Anaheim Hilton.
