Screen Scene Visual Effects Supervisor Ed Bruce has been nominated for a Visual Effects Society (VES) award for Outstanding Supporting Visual Effects, for his work on ‘Game of Thrones’ which was filmed in Northern Ireland late last year. The VES is an organisation which represents visual effects practitioners across film, television, commercials and, music and video games internationally.
Speaking about the nomination Ed Bruce said, “I’m delighted to be nominated for this prestigious award surrounded by so many talented people. It was a wonderful project to be a part of, especially leading a great team of artists.” Bruce also congratulated co-worker Adam McInnes, who also received a nomination for his work as the lead visual effects supervisor on the show.
The full post production for the first series of the HBO show was carried out in Screen Scene, Dublin. The 10th Annual VES Awards will take place on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
