Bill Malone has been appointed new Entertainment Commissioning Editor for RTÉ Television with immediate effect. The Waterford born 40-year old has previously produced some of RTÉ’s most popular shows including ‘The Late Late Show’, ‘Reeling in The Years’, ‘The Saturday Night Show’ and executively produced on shows such as ‘Don’t Tell the Bride’ and ‘ICA Boot Camp’. He has also been involved in documentary making and Young Peoples Programmes with extensive work as a producer with ‘Prime Time’.
He will now be responsible for commissioning of RTÉ One’s Entertainment programming from both in-house and independent producers; editorial, financial and staffing responsibilities for in-house Entertainment programming and the development of RTÉ Entertainment brands across other media platforms.
