The Irish Premiere of Disney’s new animated motion picture, ‘The Princess and the Frog’ takes place on Wednesday, January 27 in Dublin. The screening will be attended by many of the big names behind the film such as award winning directors John Musker (Aladdin) and Ron Clements (The Little Mermaid).
Also attending the event will be supervising animator Andreas Deja (animator, Enchanted), producer Peter del Vecho (associate producer, Chicken Little) and Anika Noni Rose (Dreamgirls) who provides the voice of Princess Tiana in the film.
‘The Princess and the Frog’ is an animated comedy set in the city of New Orleans. Walt Disney animated studios have given a modern twist to a classic tale – the premiere’s audience members can look forward to seeing a beautiful girl named Tiana, a frog prince who desperately wants to be human again, and a fateful kiss that leads them both on a hilarious adventure through the mystical bayous of Louisiana.
‘The Princess and the Frog’ marks the return to hand-drawn animation from the revered team of John Musker and Ron Clements and music by Oscar-winning composer Randy Newman (Toy Story).
The film is released through Walt Disney Motion Picture Studios Ireland and is released nationwide on 5th February 2010.
