Irish actor Colm O’Maonlai is confirmed to join the cast of the popular RTÉ soap opera ‘Fair City’. O’Maonlai, who has previously appeared in UK soaps ‘Eastenders’, ‘Doctors’ and ‘The Bill,’ will hit Irish screens on the 25th of May.

Brother of Hot House Flowers frontman Liam O’Maonlai, 40 year old Colm is best known for his part in ‘Eastenders’ during 2002 playing the sexy fireman, Tom Banks, boyfriend of Albert Square temptress Sharon.
In ‘Fair City’ O’Maonlai will play Rory Goff, a Garda brought in by the superintendent to help with the Yuschenko case and the Garrigan shooting. He’ll be working alongside Det. Deegan, but will be doing undercover work, as his face isn’t immediately recognisable around the area. O’Maonlai is likely to cause a stir in Carrigstown with his character tipped to spice things up by becoming romantically involved with one of the show’s familiar faces…
‘Fair City’ is Ireland’s hottest homegrown soap with over 450,000 regular viewers. The show airs on RTÉ One at 8pm Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
