The Institute of Art, Design & Technology in Dun Laoghaire, IADT, is inviting applications for a one-year Master of Arts in Scriptwriting, commencing October 2003. The course offers candidates an invaluable opportunity to learn and develop the highest professional skills in the art and craft of scriptwriting. The course focuses on the development, writing and redrafting of a full-length screenplay.
Also included in the curriculum are: film history and theory, studies in narrative and dramatic traditions, and working with actors and directors. The MA in Scriptwriting is taught by established industry professionals (Course Co-ordinator, PAUL FREANEY, is the author of the screenplay for Alan Gilsenan's new feature, Timbuktu, now in post-production.) and incorporates a strong visiting lecturer programme, drawing on prominent writers, producers and directors.
Recent graduate (and Guild member) ROBERT QUINN, has a feature film, Dead Bodies, currently on release.
IADT offers the widest portfolio of full-time film and media courses in the country, including Film; Animation; Televison; Production Design; Modelmaking and Special FX for Film and Media; Make-Up; Radio; and Interactive Media.
