Including Fitzgerald Park and the UCC Sports Grounds, this beautiful, peaceful stretch of the River Lee runs practically all the way to the City Centre from the University on the western edge of Town and is a real highlight of Cork.
This is a very attractive lighthouse for film makers; not only due to its great location at the entrance to Cork harbour, but also because it is easily accessible for vehicles and is very close to Cork City.
This is a fascinating and visually intriguing area of the City. It is one of the earliest settlements and has a labyrinth of narrow, medieval streets and alleyways running through it.
