The Old Head of Kinsale, (in Irish, An Seancheann) is a headland near Kinsale, County Cork, Ireland. An early lighthouse was established here in the 17th century by Robert Reading.
Recently pedestrianised, this is the real centre of the City and unlike the ‘official’ main shopping area of Patrick St nearby it has a vibrancy and bustle that makes it very endearing as well as visually exciting.
This is one of the most attractive road bridges in Cork. Made out of Limestone and with a detailed parapet it is a classic example of a 19th Century bridge in the classical style.
An extremely busy road bridge, this is perhaps the most central of all Cork bridges. Located by the fabulous City Hall it connects the South Side to the City Centre Island.
