Screen Training Ireland: Chrysalis: The Advanced Screenplay Development Programme Go »
Chrysalis is an intensive, project-based development programme. It is aimed at writers and development teams of both live action and animation cinematic projects. Individual writers in receipt of third party support and teams of a writer / writers with their active producer / development executive are asked to apply. Eight strong film projects which are approaching or are at the mid-point of the development process will be chosen to participate. The programme will take the form of workshops on the craft of screenwriting combined with intensive project development in a group setting. Following this participants will have an opportunity to develop a new draft. They will receive one to one feedback and guidance on their new draft.

Cartoon Movie is neither a fair nor a festival, but rather a pitching & co-pro forum for animated feature films.
For two days, producers have the opportunity to pitch their film project in order to speed up financing, find co-producers and interest international distributors.
Since its creation in 1999, 274 films found financing, representing a total budget of 1.9 billion EUR.

The purpose of this fund: TG4 and the Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon, in association with Galway Film Centre, are delighted to announce the launch of ‘ilDÁNA’.
ilDÁNA is designed to support the production of landmark creative documentary films on the arts in Irish. ilDÁNA will provide film-makers with an opportunity to make distinctive ambitious works to enrich the TG4 primetime programme schedule and have a national impact with audiences.
Films commissioned for ilDÁNA will provide a definitive creative treatment of their arts subject. All artistic disciplines will be considered. Contemporary subjects are preferred but contemporary treatments of historical works may also be considered. Two films will be funded with a budget of up to €80,000 each in the first season of the scheme. Both will launch with a dedicated cinema screening and will have a theatrical window before broadcast to a primetime TG4 audience in Spring 2018.
Galway Film Centre will administer the commissioning of the ilDÁNA films and TG4’s ‘Terms of Trade’ will apply. Representatives from TG4, the Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon and Galway Film Centre will select the projects for ilDÁNA.
