Biography
Breege Fahy is an accomplished freelance Costume Cutter and Maker with a passion for textile art and over 25 years of experience in the film, television and theatre industry including working on high profile national and international productions with many of the worlds’ leading and most talented costume designers, assistants and supervisors.
She has excellent technical expertise and artistic ability with an in-depth knowledge of cloth and costume across all eras, periods and styles. She has an excellent working understanding of a wide variety of fabrics with a strong artistic interpretative ability within the context of a particular costume period or style and excellent knowledge of fabric qualities, garment construction, fit, and design along with excellent attention to detail and technical and artistic problem solving skills.
She is currently based in Dublin where she has her own workroom where she also produces individual bespoke costumes and private commissions but is willing and able to travel and/or relocate if necessary.
Recent work projects include: Game of Thrones, Penny Dreadful, and Emerald City.
