EMMY awarded Nicky Gogan is one of Ireland’s best-known producers. She founded the Darklight Digital Festival (1999) and from then began producing animations, artist films, features and documentaries. She most recently produced the much-praised animated sequences for Tommy Palotta’s LAST HIJACK which opened the Panorama Dokumenta at the Berlin Film Festival (2014) and won an EMMY Award for best online production in the non-fiction category in Cannes. Nicky is a graduate of EAVE 2008. In 2006 Nicky co-founded Dublin/New York based production company Still Films where she works as a producer and a director (see belowfor director info). STILL FILMS is in receipt of slate development funding from the Irish Film Board and In was awarded the Dublin Critic’s Choice Discovery award for new talent. Feature BLACK ICE was one of Ireland’s top-grossing national theatrical releases in 2013 while 2010’s IFTA-nominated doc self-distributed PYJAMA GIRLS to date holds the highest per-screen take of any film in the Irish Film Institute. Animation WE, THE MASSES won a Spirit award at the Brooklyn Film Festival (2012).
